Book Week 1st – 5th March 2010

This week is national book week, so we are asking the children and adults in the school to spend ten minutes reading a book every day to share the experience of reading together as a school. The older children are welcome to bring a book in from home to read if they would like; preferably one that would last the whole week.

On Thursday the children and adults are welcome to bring in a book in good condition, they have finished with in order to swap it for a different one of their choice. When handing in their book they will be given a ticket and on Friday they will be able to swap their ticket for a book brought in by someone else. (Tickets given to younger children will be kept by the teachers until Friday.) This is a lovely way to share the experience of recycling.

On Thursday all the children will receive a voucher for £1 to use at a bookshop to encourage the enjoyment of books.
